Dave Bonham has been taking care of horses since age twelve when he worked 60 hours a week in the summers caring for boarded horses in Rancho Santa Fe.  His interest and knowledge of horses and their care has grown over the past 40 years heightening when he left his career as a probation officer to board horses full time at Juniper Well Ranch in the early 80’s.  Over the years, Dave has built close relationships with local vets often assisting them on other ranches. 

 

Juniper Well Ranch also has a ranch manager who takes care of daily feeding and watering and makes sure the corrals are kept clean.  The Bonham family and the ranch manager are on site 24/7 in case any issues come up- they are handled professionally and swiftly. 

We enjoy getting to know our horse owners and provide places for them to relax with their horses.  There are patios, BBQ’s and shady areas for picnics.  We can tailor our routine to meet the needs of your horses, such as providing supplements and having a local Ferrier out several times a year.
